Why Was Adolf Hitler a Cruel Leader?
The Impact of Adolf Hitler's Life on His Leadership
Adolf Hitler is known as one of the cruelest leaders in human history. Hitler, who was at the head of Germany during World War II and caused the deaths of millions of people, is not the primary responsible party for all these deaths. The reason for this is that the Treaty of Versailles, which the Allied powers forced Germany to sign after World War I, contained very harsh terms. This treaty violated Germany's territorial integrity, restricted the number of soldiers, and banned the production of aircraft and warships. Germans, who lived under such a harsh treaty for years, finally started a war to reclaim their rights. Approximately 80 million people lost their lives as a result of this war. However, Hitler is responsible for only about 20 million of these deaths. The reason for Hitler being so cruel and ruthless is actually an event he experienced in his childhood. Like Genghis Khan, Hitler experienced very difficult things in his childhood, and later, when he gained power, he made people experience much more than what he had gone through.
The Difficulties Adolf Hitler Experienced
Adolf Hitler witnessed the death of his beloved brother in his childhood. Hitler, who experienced violence and psychological pressure from his father throughout his childhood and youth, was further devastated and unable to stand on his feet after his mother's death. His doctor described Hitler's grief after losing his mother as 'I have never seen anyone grieve so much for death.' After losing his father at a young age, Hitler had nothing left to hold onto. Due to poverty, he lived on the streets for years and tried to survive by selling his own paintings. But he failed. After being rejected by the art academy, he started his military service. He describes his military years as the best years of his life. It is also known that Hitler spent time in cemeteries and talked to inanimate objects during his childhood. This child, who experienced so many hardships, later became the leader of a country and began to inflict much more than he had experienced on people. It is known that Hitler killed only 6 million Jews in concentration camps. Apart from the Holocaust, he instilled fear in both his enemies and his allies through mass executions. Adolf Hitler is one of the leaders who killed the most people in world history.
