Headache
Billions of people worldwide experience headaches. Headaches, which can have many causes, can affect a person's daily life as well as their ability to work. It is possible to take some precautions against headaches that reduce the quality of life.
People with headaches usually take painkillers first. However, frequently taken painkillers start to lose their effectiveness after a while and start to have the opposite effect. You should not take painkillers more than twice a week. If your headaches recur every day and do not go away, seeing a doctor would be the most appropriate action.
Watch What You Eat
Especially in the summer season, dehydration also causes headaches. Since exercising also causes water loss, headaches can occur after sports. You may also experience headaches if your office is hot. In such cases, you should try to drink 2.5 – 3 liters of water per day as much as possible. Especially if your urine color is dark, this may be an indicator that you are not drinking enough water.
It is also useful to distinguish between migraine and headache. If you feel throbbing pain on both sides of your head, this may be a sign of migraine. Migraine headaches can be triggered especially by lack of sleep, hunger, consumption of sugar, alcohol, smoking, cheese, or dried fruits. Tea and coffee consumption are also quite harmful for migraines. Taking notes of the foods and drinks you consume that day can be a useful practice in revealing the mistakes you made when you are sick.
