How is a Brochure Prepared

Brochures are booklets prepared in color for promotional purposes. They can be multi-page or single-page. In addition to the booklet format, they can also be printed in a folded style. Although flyers and brochures are often confused, brochures are of higher quality than flyers in terms of printing quality, are always printed in color, and are generally printed in multiple pages. The higher quality and superior printing of a brochure are generally accepted as the clearest difference between it and a flyer. There are printing houses that provide services for brochure preparation. These printing houses first listen to their customers' demands and prepare brochure designs that will best meet these demands. The designed brochure is presented to the customer for approval, and final adjustments are made based on the customer's request through mutual exchange of ideas in a joint meeting, thus completing the brochure design. Then, decisions are made regarding the paper quality, printing quality, and the type of brochure to be printed. What is important here is to decide whether the brochure will be a booklet or an accordion-style folded one.

What Should Be the Content of a Brochure

The content of a brochure should definitely be determined according to the purpose for which it is printed. For example, for discount brochures printed for supermarket promotions, product visuals should be used as much as possible, and the products on discount should be highlighted attractively. In other words, if the images are kept too small to save pages or only the product names are written, it will not encourage the recipient of the brochure to examine it, and the advertising campaign will be unsuccessful. However, by featuring actual visuals of the discounted products and listing their normal prices, discounted prices, and discount percentages next to them, it will pique the consumer's curiosity and encourage them to examine the entire brochure. Therefore, the visuals in the brochure should be chosen successfully, and the font size should be kept at an attractive level. After all these processes are completed, the printing phase begins, and the agreed-upon brochure design is brought to life. What is important here is to obtain final approval from the customer and to proceed to the printing phase only after receiving written confirmation.
