Achieve a Perfect Smile with Laminate Veneer Application
Stages of Laminate Veneer Treatment
Today, there has been an increase in patient demand for aesthetic dentistry. Laminate veneers, also known by many names such as porcelain laminate veneers, are one of the treatment methods we widely use today. The treatment, performed by bonding very thin porcelain coatings to the teeth, is quite difficult and sensitive. However, considering the advantages of the treatment, our patients frequently prefer it to achieve an aesthetic appearance. The application has no harm and can be easily applied to every patient. With special and technical work, our patients can achieve the appearance they dream of in a few sessions. The treatment consists of several stages. Although it is a challenging process for both the dentist and the laboratory, it is an enjoyable process for our patients. Patients undergo laminate veneer treatment with confidence due to the absence of anesthesia, no surgical intervention, and no recovery period. During the initial examination at our clinic, necessary tests are performed. A color is chosen digitally, matching your skin tone and adjacent teeth. The visualization prepared on the computer is shown to the patient. If the patient is satisfied, the treatment begins. First, the front surface of the teeth is slightly abraded, and an impression is taken. In the next session, if there are no issues, the bonding process is performed. However, if there are any problems with the color, shape, or fit of the veneer, the patient is invited to the clinic once more. After the treatment, the patient is educated about dental care. They are invited for monthly check-ups. After the treatment, the patient is advised on issues such as not breaking hard objects with their front teeth, abandoning the habit of nail-biting, and using a night guard if they clench their teeth. The treatment concludes when harmony between the gums and the veneer is observed, and the patient resumes their daily life.
Are Laminate Veneers Durable?
The veneer can be damaged if hard objects are bitten into. Apart from this, you can protect your teeth by brushing them regularly. If the veneer is made of porcelain, it will be quite durable, and you can use it without problems for many years.
