TESK Standards
Derviş Günday, Chairman of the Turkish Confederation of Tradesmen and Craftsmen (TESK) and the Turkish Federation of Drivers and Automobile Owners, stated that they look favorably upon the automobile driver standard prepared by the Turkish Standards Institution in previous years. However, he noted that it would not be possible to implement the said standards in a short period and emphasized that currently, they prioritize drivers adhering to courtesy rules. It should be known, however, that they are considering efforts to provide drivers with all the necessary training for these matters.

Accordingly, taxi drivers must transport passengers within and outside the city using vehicles with a small carrying capacity called taxi automobiles, in accordance with and at the stage of highway passenger transportation principles.
