Handicrafts
Handicrafts are an art that people create to pass the time or to earn money. Handicrafts can be done as a hobby or for commercial purposes.
Some handicrafts are based on various traditions from the past. Handicrafts emerged out of necessity, dependent on natural conditions, since the dawn of humanity.
Clothing, tools, and implements designed by humans to meet their needs, to dress, and to protect themselves are the first examples of handicrafts. Handicrafts, which later developed and varied according to natural and environmental conditions, reflect the artistic lines, artistic tastes, and cultural characteristics of the society in which they emerged, and thus earned the title of "traditional".
The traditional handicrafts include paper marbling (ebru), patchwork, embroidery, tile making, and copper craftsmanship, among others.
